Kids, Kindy, Home School and Toddler groups

The farm offers an opportunity for the next generation of organic growers to get inspired and see how the best food is grown.
Walking through our jungle maze of raised garden beds and overheard trellises can quickly spark children’s curiosity and interest.
❦ The Bee Dance
The tours start with seeing how bees communicate and tell each other where the good nectar and pollen is in the neighbourhood. The kids love to find out where honey comes from and try some too.
❦ Spot the Wildlife
Being a chemical free and biodiverse habitat we have lots of garden insect and animal visitors.  A spot-the-wildlife hunt can bring encounters with lizards, lady beetles, worms, various bee species including native bees, garden bugs and native birds.
❦ Tastings from Farm to Mouth.
Kids can try some of our tasty snacks like sweet Snowpeas, nectar from edible flowers, mulberries, cape gooseberries (a healthy version of Skittles) and juicy cherry tomatoes.  Yum.
❦ Plant Seeds
Hands on gardening!  Get their hands in soil (or not) plant a seed, nurture it (water) and give it a bit of love - talk to it :)  Take it home to see the seed grow.
